Trying to put to rest all kinds of speculations doing the rounds for last two months, Shah assured complete stability in the coalition government even in the absence of ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is now undergoing treatment in USA. "We have to take the oath that in the year 2019, we will win both the (Lok Sabha) seats (in Goa), and in the next assembly elections we will win in at least 35 out of the total 40 constituencies in Goa", he said.

He said 2019 was a significant year in Indian politics and asked the party workers to work in full vigour to ensure a thorough win for the BJP.

BJP president Amit Shah today said the incumbent BJP-led government in Goa would complete its tenure of five years.

In a short video message played during the booth-level workers' convention at Taleigao Plateau on Sunday evening, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar announced that he would return to the state within the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, GSM workers also lodged a counter-complaint against BJP activists, including Akhil Parrikar, for manhandling and assaulting them during the protest yesterday on the sidelines of BJP president Amit Shah's meeting near here.

The Police are in touch with the National transportation Safety Board regarding the crash. Several witnesses said they didn't see the driver hit the brakes before the collision.

"BJP is such a political party in which a person selling a tea can also become the Prime Minister of a great democracy like India", he said.

The three-member panel formed by Parrikar comprises ministers Sudin Dhavalikar (MGP), Francis D'Souza (BJP) and Vijai Sardesai (Goa Forward Party, another ruling coalition partner). There is repeated instability in Goa, where Governments come and go.

"He (Parrikar) said I am missing all my booth workers. I told this to Parrikar, when I had phoned him before coming here", BJP MP said.

A relative of Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has filed a complaint against activists of the Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) for allegedly defaming the CM and his family members during a protest in Panaji.

Chodankar said the Congress will continue with its demand. "Our chief minister is very much there and with his guidance, the administration is also functioning smoothly", he stated.
