In addition to the three Roadsters and the four coupes, there are three four-door variations - GT 53, GT 63, and GT 63 S - also due out later this year.
Mercedes-AMG is now offering the running gear of the GT S with the Roadster body, plugging a gap in its sports auto line-up for a middle-ground drop-top.
While all examples use the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8, the GT S is rated at 515 horsepower and 494 lb-ft of torque.
Power goes to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the GT S also features a sportier suspension set-up, complete with adaptive damping as standard, and there's an electronically controlled locking rear diff.

The two adamantly opposed the merger with Fujifilm because they believed that it undervalued the company. Icahn and Deason have said they would consider an all-cash bid of at least $40 per share.
With 384kW and 670Nm, it sits between the 350kW/630Nm of the GT Roadster, and the 410kW/680Nm of the GT C Roadster, as does its 0-100km/h sprint of 3.8 seconds and its top speed of 308km/h. It's the third variant to join Affalterbach's drop-top sports vehicle lineup, and it sits between the current GT and GT C in terms of performance and price.
Mercedes-AMG is taking pre-orders for the GT S Roadster now, although it won't be launched in the United Kingdom until July. Combined with LED headlamps and ceramic composite braking system, the AMG GT Roadster S lights up the night road and brakes like a racing auto, offering drivers not only a vehicle that's sporty but also one that factors in safety. Ceramic composite brakes are optional: 15.8 inches in front and 14.2 inches in the rear. AMG Dynamic Select also offers modifications to the engine, transmission, ESP, steering and exhaust valves.
The cabin looks similar too, adopting standard features such as the sport seats upholstered in black Artico artificial leather/Dinamica microfiber, and the AMG Silver Chrome Interior package.
Pricing information for the GT S Roadster will be announced closer to the market launch in late 2018, but we can expect a slight premium on the $132k starting price of the GT S coupe.
