With the worldwide reveal of this year's iteration on the Battlefield franchise just around the corner, DICE made a decision to tease anticipating fans with a super short clip giving us a glimpse at the game.

Watch the teaser video below. But it looks like the developer has chose to reclassify Battlefield 1 as a spinoff, because DICE recently confirmed that Battlefield V will be released this Fall.

It seems that EA has some big plans for the Battlefield 5 reveal as the publisher has brought on comedian and late night host Trevor Noah to host the event.

First theory is that Battlefield V actually stands for Battlefield Vietnam, making it set in the Vietnam War.

It's very likely that Battlefield V will use similar mechanics used in the previous game while also introducing new modes-possibly a battle royale mode. Using a program called affinity photo, one Battlefield fan was able to remove the PS4 UI from the image, giving players a closer look and allowing them to better identify features in the image. The series is headed back to World War 2.
