There has been quite a bit of scuttlebutt surrounding what the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will look like when they ship later this year and there have already been some questionable leaks that claim to show what we can expect when that happens. While the said leaks are yet to be verified, new proofs hint that the upcoming Pixel 3 will be equipped with at least two new features. It will most probably be the Pixel 3 XL, while the Pixel 3 is expected to boast of the Pixel 2-like design from both front and back.
It also looks like the Google Pixel 3 XL will keep its aluminum build and that means no wireless charging for the 2018 model as well. But now it seems that Google may have made a tiny mistake by unknowingly confirming the size of their latest devices.
We believe similar features and technologies will be developed by other OEMs but for Google, it will continue to improve the Active Edge squeeze feature.
The following report comes from XDA Developers, the software development community obtained a source code from Android P Beta 2 which revealed Google might be in works to introduce a wireless charging feature.
Pixel 3 XL Leak Shows Google Following Apple’s Footsteps with a Notched Display
The SystemUIGoogle.APK file discovered by folks at XDA Developers shows the components for Active Edge - codenamed "Elmyra", in four phones.
Even as this might be a speculation, considering the Pixel 3XL prototypes were leaked recently this should come as a surprise.
