"You looking at that video, you see she opened up the cage let the kids out the cage out the trunk of the auto, I mean it don't look good", Blake said.

Video surfaced after a concerned citizen who saw the unfolding incident took it upon themselves to film the children getting out of the kennels for evidence in case police didn't show up in time. They said they had charged Cheeks with two counts of Child Endangerment. According to an affidavit, Cheeks drove the kids from Whitehaven to Collierville, then to Downtown Memphis in 95 degree heat.

A young girl can be seen crawling out of a kennel from the back of the Ford Explorer, which appears to be parked in front of the Graceland mansion in Whitehaven, Commerical Appeal reports.

During an interview with investigators, the two kids say Cheeks, their grandmother, told them to get in the kennels because there was not enough room in her vehicle. Neighbors are shocked. They say Leimome Cheeks is a very nice woman and they can't believe she did something like this.

Children's Services and Memphis Police are investigating.

The children told authorities that Cheeks claimed there wasn't enough room for them to sit safely in a seat.

Temperatures in the area reached about 35 degrees Celsius.The mum is now facing charges of child endangerment.

According to her Facebook and LinkedIn pages, Cheeks was a Senior Technical Analyst at FedEx for 18 years.

The woman is being held at the Shelby County Jail. Heavy will update as more information is known.
