The president's top economic adviser has suffered a heart attack, President Trump said. "Larry is now in good condition at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and his doctors expect he will make a full and speedy recovery", White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.

As President Trump was on his way to the historic summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un Monday, he tweeted stunning news about his economic advisor, Larry Kudlow.

President Trump says his chief economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, has suffered a heart attack and is being hospitalized.

Kudlow, 70, joined the Trump administration as the director of the National Economic Council in March.

After his arrest, Hughes told investigators that he was depressed about being in the Air Force and made a decision to leave. Hughes was taken into custody by special agents from the Travis Air Force Base and is being held at the military base.

For five years before his White House appointment in March, Kudlow hosted a show on CNBC on business and politics, and he's worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY.

Kudlow appeared on Jake Tapper's CNN Sunday Beltway show, State Of The Union, this past Sunday, accusing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of undermining the USA and the G-7 confab with his comments.

Before Trump hired him, Kudlow was a commentator and host on CNBC. As recently as Sunday, he had appeared on TV defending the president's attacks on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, saying that Trudeau had committed a "betrayal".

Kudlow served in the Reagan administration and was a high-flying Wall Street executive in the 1990s, before undergoing treatment for drug and alcohol problems.
