France star Kylian Mbappé has left training injured on Tuesday.

The 19-year old striker, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, hurt his left ankle due to a tackle from defender Adil Rami and was unable to continue with the practice.

The session was broadcast live on YouTube by the French Football Federation but although Mbappe required several minutes of attention before returning to his feet, no update was released in the following hours until the 19-year-old posted on social media last night.

France arrived in Russian Federation on June 10 and will begin their World Cup campaign against Group C rivals Australia in Kazan on Saturday night (AEST).
