George Lucas' Original Ideas Might Be Worse Than The Last Jedi

George Lucas has revealed more details regarding his original treatments for the Star Wars sequel trilogy before Disney chose to go in another direction.

Elsewhere in the conversation, Lucas admitted, "Everybody hated it in "Phantom Menace" [when] we started talking about midi-chlorians".

James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction-a six-part series that aired on AMC in late April and May-explored different factions of science fiction and pop culture staples as Cameron interviewed numerous men who created those films. "But there's this world of creatures that operate differently than we do". I eventually dropped this idea, and the concepts behind the Whills turned into the Force. And the Whills are the ones that actually control the universe. "They feed off the Force".

Boyega's comments come after his 29-year-old co-star, Kelly Marie Tran - who played Rose Tico in The last Jedi and was the first woman of colour cast in a major Star Wars role - left social media last week after copping a barrage of racist and sexist insults from online trolls. Ron Howard, for instance, told the Kermode & Mayo Film Review Programme the other week that Lucas was on the set of Solo one day, and helped Howard get a small detail about Han Solo right. Following a flood of harassment, The Last Jedi actor Kelly Marie Tran deleted her Instagram account, prompting an outcry of support from fans and fellow actors alike. Some people make a case for Yoda being a Whill, though the Star Wars Wikia reports Lucas has denied it.

So not only was Luke supposed to die at very end of the Skywalker saga, but he was going to train Leia to be a Jedi.

He tweeted: 'If you don't like Star Wars or the characters understand that there are decisions makers and harassing the actors/ actresses will do nothing. What his quotes do show is just how much was-and still remains-possible in the Star Wars universe.
