The 13 most bonkers moments from the Trump Kim summit. No you’re not

This side of the commander-in-chief came out during his meeting with North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un when Trump showed an action movie-style trailer he had made for the occasion.

Rodman spoke in glowing terms about Kim, as he has done before, and glossed over the young leader's troubling human rights record.

The message was clear: Kim had a decision to make. He also said that he and Kim had discussed human rights during their meeting - though no mention of those violations, or any concessions on them showed up in the final agreement.

South Korean President Moon Jae-In also unveiled a video produced for the North Korean leader during their meeting at the Demilitarized Zone in April.

The US would suspend "provocative" war games it holds with South Korea.

He said Japan will negotiate for the release of the abductees directly with North Korea.

"A handshake is no substitute for a binding, verifiable deal", Warren said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Nice and handsome and thin and perfect

"After the crisis we went through with our interlocutors when Otto came back in the condition he did ... the North Koreans sent to us the de-escalation proposition that we shared with the White House last summer and that was a part of a lot of these efforts to reach out and to try and de-escalate".

In a split-screen shot, Kim Jong Un waved to an adoring crowd while President Trump stood beside him with his thumb in the air.

Along with establishing himself as an equal and reinventing his persona overseas as a "normal" leader of a "normal" nation - he even took a selfie with Singapore's foreign minister that was posted on Twitter, which like all other social media is banned in the North - Kim's primary objective at the summit was to undermine support for worldwide trade sanctions that have long hindered his plans to develop North Korea's economy.

Still, he left open the possibility of restarting the exercises should denuclearization talks with North Korea stall. Trump insisted that strong verification of denuclearization would be included in a final agreement, saying it was a detail his team would begin sorting out with the North Koreans next week. You have South Korea, you have China, and they own the land in the middle. But the one-page document contains few specifics on how that goal would be achieved.

Choi Seong-guk, who made cartoons depicting western spies, said: "What will make me angry [about the summit] will be seeing pictures of Kim parading around with global leaders". The U.S. president brushed off questions about his public embrace of the autocrat whose people have been oppressed for decades.

Prime Minister Theresa May's spokesman said North Korea's commitment to denuclearization is a sign that Pyongyang might finally be turning a corner. The language in the joint statement was weaker than in previous agreements - the very significant difference being that the North is now much further advanced in its nuclear programme. Trump has dangled the prospect of economic investment in the North as a sweetener for giving up its nuclear weapons. At a certain point, I really think he's going to do something about it. Toward the end of the meeting.

Speaking with Voice of America's Greta Van Susteren following his historic summit in Singapore on Tuesday, Trump called Kim "funny" and "smart".
