The 2018 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony will have a slightly different format compared to previous editions of the tournament.

Sling TV is rolling out features including World Cup Ribbon, which allows users to view a tournament-specific ribbon on "My TV" to see what games are live and to access on-demand content with a single click. The opening ceremony is held in Luzhniki Stadium, which will also host the final, according to Telegraph.

The 15-minute show, produced by Russia's state Channel One, broke from World Cup tradition, focusing on musical acts, including a performance of Pyotr Tchaikovsky in front of full stands at the capital's main stadium.

Speaking to RT, former Chelsea and AC Milan defender Desailly said the enthusiasm in Russian Federation as it prepares it to host its first-ever World Cup is evidence that the nation is well and truly in love with the lovely game. The co-director of the opening ceremony will be my friend Ilya Averbukh, who has added new colour to the spectacle on the pitch.

WHAT CHANNEL IS THE WORLD CUP ON TV: Like the games, the opening ceremony will air on the Fox network, airing from Russian Federation.

The popular chain said: We assure you it is never our intention to offend our guests with the merchandise we provide. The backlash has prompted Target officials to remove the cards, and apologize to offended shoppers.

"So we hope that they will show us that they can qualify for the second round".

A third option that also offers a 7-day free trial is Sling TV.

The World Cup was ushered in on Thursday after a short ceremony that featured the unlikely duo of British pop star Robbie Williams and Russian president Vladimir Putin and a shock obscene gesture from the singer.
