The 2018 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony will have a slightly different format compared to previous editions of the tournament.

Sling TV is rolling out features including World Cup Ribbon, which allows users to view a tournament-specific ribbon on "My TV" to see what games are live and to access on-demand content with a single click. The opening ceremony is held in Luzhniki Stadium, which will also host the final, according to Telegraph.

The 15-minute show, produced by Russia's state Channel One, broke from World Cup tradition, focusing on musical acts, including a performance of Pyotr Tchaikovsky in front of full stands at the capital's main stadium.
