Navarro might be sorry for his word choice, but the White House's sentiment stands.

Later, he echoed Trump's baiting of Trudeau, repeating the line that the Canadian statesman is "weak" and "dishonest".

"Don't take the bait, don't dance this dance of countervailing insults and emotional outbursts". It's that Mr. Trump didn't understand he put the Canadian PM in a position where he had to.
