Trump defends immigration decision at Minnesota rally

Trump touts 'tough' immigration policies, slams 'elites' at raucous rally

Donald Trump mocked a protester at a rally: 'Is that a man or a woman?'

President Donald Trump is railing against the treatment of his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton at a rally Wednesday in Duluth, Minnesota.

He says that, "No matter how many crimes she committed, which were numerous, they wanted her to be innocent, but with me. they wanted to put us in trouble and it's not working too well". I'm richer than they are. Aside from being the sort of childish brag a child would be embarrassed to be caught saying, does someone actually need to tell Trump it's his side that calls liberals "the elite"?

By one count, the Trump administration has eliminated 22 regulations for every new one it implemented.

According to Eurasia Group President Ian Bremner, Trump chose to throw candies to Merkel after an apparent attempt to pressure him was into signing a new rules-based worldwide order. He said he voted for the first time in his life in 2016 when he cast a ballot for Trump and was especially energized by his immigration views. The channel put this unusual chyron onscreen beneath Trump: "Trump Rally Live & Only on Fox News".

The protester appeared to hold a picture of Trump with another person. He predicted that "Chairman Kim will turn that country into a great, successful country". "And in 2½ years, it's going to be really easy, I think".

The president also raised the North Korea summit, calling it an "incredible success".

Trump has sought to cast his meeting with Kim as a turning point in North Korean relations, hoping that the boost on the global stage will help Republicans running in the midterms elections this year.

"You know, I hate to bring this up, but we came this close to winning the state of Minnesota", the president said.

Pantera Drummer, Co-Founder Vinnie Paul Dies at 54
Vinnie Paul , the drummer and co-founder of heavy metal band Pantera , has died, the group announced in a statement on Facebook . The band had a number one album in 1994 and earned four Grammy nominations, but disbanded in 2003 amid rumours of a rift.

And now the state is home to some of the most closely watched House races in the country, two Senate races and a competitive governor's contest, making Minnesota a top Republican target this year.

After the disruption, Trump spoke about immigration issues in the USA - which he blamed on the democrats and the media.

But as much as midterm politics is on Trump's mind, his own political future will also be front of mind for the President, whose campaign has already said they see Minnesota as their best opportunity to flip a blue state red during the 2020 election.

The Trump rally, organized by his campaign committee, was in response to a request from Pete Stauber, a Republican trying to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Rick Nolan in the 8th Congressional District.

"Mr. President, these people support you", Stauber said at the rally.

"No more 'Minnesota nice, '" tweeted Richard Painter, who served as an ethics lawyer in President George W. Bush's administration and is now challenging Senator Tina Smith in a Democratic primary.

And during the section of Trump's speech where he name checks certain Republican candidates, Trump repaid Pawlenty's absence by not mentioning him.
