Milos Raonic has never won a Grand Slam title

Novak Djokovic returned to a grand slam semi-final for the first time since 2016 after recording a hard-fought win over Kei Nishikori at Wimbledon.

" I thought it was unnecessary to get the warning".

He will next face either two-time champion Rafael Nadal or fifth-seeded Juan Martin del Potro.

'I've played this year so far only once in first four matches on Centre Court.

Friday's fixture will be Djokovic's first major semi-final since he finished runner-up at the 2016 U.S. Open, which also happens to be the last Grand Slam in which Nishikori made it past the last eight.

But there was no stopping the Serb once he made it on to Court One as he romped to a 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 win to reach the quarter-finals for a 10th time.

Serbia´s Novak Djokovic serves to Japan´s Kei Nishikori during their men´s singles quarter-finals match on the ninth day of the 2018 Wimbledon Championships.

He said: 'I felt like in the last month and a half, the level of tennis has been very close to where I would like it to be, where I'm used to having it.

"I am peaking at the right moment".

Of course, it's impossible to say exactly what was going through the minds of Trump's aides. How did leaders respond to Trump's tirade? "We're moving in the right direction", he said.

He looks very fired-up, he looks very motivated so I think Novak has got a great shot as well.' Analyzing how elbow issues influenced Djokovic's mental status, Murray added: 'He's spoken about that, he said the mental side has been hard for him.

After racing through the first set, Djokovic was handed his first code violation for unsportsmanlike conduct after bouncing his racquet into the grass in frustration at squandering three break points in the third game of the second set.

"You think I ruined the court for just throwing my racket (down)?"

The 2011, 2014 and 2015 champion was clearly unsettled by the dispute, quickly surrendering the set.

The 24th-seeded Nishikori was able to attack Djokovic's second serve and had a chance to take the lead when he was 0-40 up at 2-2 in the third set.

Djokovic's mood was not improved by Ramos choosing not to punish Nishikori for imitating his earlier offence of bashing a racquet into the ground.

He then let rip at Ramos for failing to sanction Nishikori for a similar act in the fourth set.

"Double standards, my friend", screamed the former world number one.
