Antonio Conte's two year tenure as Chelsea manager which began with a bang last year after winning the Premier League title ended sourly on Friday with the club announcing they had parted company with him.

Chelsea's players have returned to pre-season training at the club's base and will soon be introduced to their new manager as Conte departed the club yesterday afternoon.

Conte led Chelsea FC to the Premier League title in his first season in charge after the Blues finished seven points ahead of their closest title challengers Tottenham Hotspur.

"I wish you every success in the future", he wrote.

Conte still had a year left on a revised deal he signed last summer after delivering the fifth Premier League title since Roman Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003.

Chelsea finally confirmed Conte's departure on Friday, with Cesc Fabregas paying tribute to the Italian coach on Twitter.

Multivitamins may not prevent cardiovascular diseases
The report comes shortly after another study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology had similar findings . Research has linked vitamin E supplements to an increased risk of prostate cancer , for example.

Conte regularly questioned the club's ambition and dealings in the transfer window and departs after failing to guide the Blues into next season's Champions League.

Conte has been on the verge of an exit since the closing stages of the 2017-18 season, but due to a multitude of reasons, the club have dallied in making it official.

He's heading to Chelsea along with his former manager at Napoli, Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola and Giovanni Martusciello are expected to join Sarri's backroom staff while Italian-Brazilian midfielder, Jorginho, is now undergoing a medical at Cobham and will also follow Sarri from Naples to London.

Only the pay was improved, though, with Conte's contract still running for just another two seasons - hardly a show of commitment by either the club or its manager.
