Armless South Beach artist accused of stabbing man with scissors

Crenshaw is reportedly a popular fixture in the area, known for painting on canvases along a trendy spot in South Beach, The Miami Herald reported.

Police arrested and charged Jonathan Crenshaw with aggravated battery.

Crenshaw, who told police he acted in self-defense, was being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami.

Miami Beach police said that just after midnight Tuesday, Jonathan Crenshaw, 46, used a pair of scissors he clutched with his feet to stab Cesar Coronado, 22, who was visiting from Chicago.

The 46-year-old armless man was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida.

When asked how that conversation might go, Trump said , "He may deny it". But also, that we are doing this already since many years.

Coronado's friend, Cindy Barrientos, told police this was not the case, but rather her friend was simply asking Crenshaw for directions when the street artist jumped up and allegedly stabbed him, the Herald adds.

Officers found Coronado lying on the ground, bleeding from his left arm.

But a female friend who was traveling with Coronado told a different story. Police said Crenshaw stabbed Coronado twice before fleeing the scene. Paramedics took him to an area hospital for treatment.

The New Times reports that Crenshaw's most recent conviction was in 2014, when he was sentenced to 180 days in jail for felony battery on a police officer.

Crenshaw gave police a different account of what happened, however. His court date is scheduled for July 18.
