Microsoft has also released cumulative updates for Windows 10 version 1709, version 1703, version 1607, and the very initial version of the OS. If it goes smoothly, the update would be a positive move for the tech giant after a spate of - shall we say - less-than-smooth rollouts these past few months.
The newest test build of Microsoft's Windows 10 "Redstone 5" includes a bunch of new features, especially for Notepad. Plus, if you highlight a word or phrase and then open the find dialog, anything you've highlighted will be automatically filled in.
Microsoft also introduced "Web Sign-in", a new form fo authentication for Azure customers, as well as Fast Sign-in, which will enable multiple users to sign-in to a shared PC more quickly. A long requested feature is coming for users; Microsoft is adding ctrl+backspace support to delete a previous word.
If you've in the Fast ring of the Windows Insider program, you can download the latest build and begin playing with the new Notepad now. A new View Zoom menu has been added with predefined zoom level choices, or you can use the keyboard shortcuts of CTRL + Plus, CTRL + Minus, or CTRL + Mouse Wheel to change zoom level.
