Wolves Set To Give Adama Traore Medical

Newly-promoted Wolves announced the news on Twitter on Wednesday morning with the caption: "Bienvenido Adama" to welcome Traore to Molineux.

A host of Premier League sides, including West Ham and Liverpool, have been linked with the services of the 29-year-old but interest has cooled, potentially leaving the door wide open for Wolves to jump to the front of the queue.

After taking a couple of seasons to click, the ex-Barcelona winger was largely unplayable in the Championship last season, terrifying defenders with his incisive running, jinky footwork and searing acceleration - scoring five goals and laying on 12 assists in the space of 40 appearances.

Traore becomes the 10th arrival of a busy summer transfer window at Wolves ahead of their first campaign back in the top flight since suffering relegation in 2012-13. I had a chat with Gibbo yesterday and a good chat with Adama and I hope they're both successful at their new clubs.

Boro have been linked with the likes of Tom Huddlestone, Yannick Bolasie and Martyn Waghorn but in Newton Aycliffe-born midfielder Wing - signed quietly from non-league Shildon previous year - they may have a talent who can help soothe any disappointment Pulis might feel if his main transfer targets are not lured to Teesside. They know I like to push myself everyday and I have my dreams too to be the best player I can be'.

Pound falls following Fox's no deal warning
That's the message from the European Commission following British claims its intransigence means no-deal is more likely. The prospect of a no-deal Brexit saw the pound fall to below $1.30, an 11-month low, yesterday.

Wolves are now closing in on Traore and will give him a medical in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Now, with his transfer imminent, another story has emerged of Traore talking with fans and confirming that he would be leaving.

'Adama was my best buddy so to lose him is really hard, ' Pulis said.

He left Barcelona in 2015 to sign for Aston Villa.
