Angelina Jolie has reached a new low in her court battle with estranged husband Brad Pitt after accusing the actor of failing to pay "meaningful" child support.

According to the latest report by TMZ, Pitt has not paid "meaningful child support" since he and Jolie officially separated, though it is not clarified what exactly he was expected to do for child support. Per NBC News, the actress is asking the court to compel Pitt to pony up because "the informal arrangements around the payment of the children's expenses have not been regularly sustained by [Pitt] for over a year and a half".

The spokesperson told People the request for child support "is to provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children".

The arrangement for child support was allegedly informal, per the TMZ report, but Jolie claims that Pitt has not even lived up to those informal expectations.

Pitt has not responded to these allegations as of yet.

The judge also ordered that Jolie arrange a phone call "with her kids and their doctors" to confirm to them directly that they are safe with Pitt.

They have six children for whom she is seeking primary custody.

It is unknown at this time what - if any - informal agreement Jolie and Pitt had arrived at prior to this filing.

Their eldest son Maddox was adopted from Cambodia in 2002. Per the filing, Jolie intends to file for retroactive child support.

Jolie's net worth has been estimated at $160 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth and in 2014, she was ranked 74th highest-earning celebrity by Forbes.

The divorce proceedings are nearly at the two year mark, and according to a source, a major part of the delay is finding a custody agreement that works for both actors.

The Moneyball actor said in an interview a year ago that he had quit drinking, was undergoing therapy, and that he and Jolie had made a decision to abandon "vitriolic hatred" and work together to sort out their issues.

Meanwhile, another source told HollywoodLife that Jolie keeps "changing the rules" despite Pitt doing his best to be responsible for his family.
