At Least Four Killed in Canada Shooting

Police in the eastern city of Fredericton asked people to stay indoors after four people died in an 'incident'.

Cops added: "At this time, we can confirm multiple fatalities".

At least four people were killed in an early morning shooting in Fredericton, Canada, on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018.

Video from the scene broadcast by Canadian network CBC showed emergency vehicles on a residential road, identified by the police as Brookside Drive. The police said in a tweet that there were "at least four people killed", but provided few other details other than to say the incident was ongoing.

Robert DiDiodato, who lives on Oakland Avenue, which connects to Brookside Drive along the city's north side, told United States television network CBC he heard a series of "firecracker" sounds at about am.
