The United States is "not willing to wait for too long" for North Korea to take steps toward denuclearization, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Wednesday.

North Korea has removed some of the remaining structures at Sohae Satellite Launching Station, according to a 38 North analysis of satellite photos on Tuesday. The station had been used to test major long-range ballistic missiles and satellites.

The dismantlement has been made as a follow-up to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's pledge at the June 12 summit with U.S. President Donald Trump to dismantle one of the missile test sites.

Those American officials are "going against the intention of President Trump to advance the DPRK-U.S. relations, who is expressing gratitude to our goodwill measures for implementing the DPRK-U.S. joint statement", it said referring to the North by its official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

"As long as the U.S. denies even the basic decorum for its dialogue partner and clings to the outdated acting script which the previous administrations have all tried and failed, one can not expect any progress in the implementation of the DPRK-U.S. joint statement including the denuclearization", the statement read.

At Trump and Kim's historic summit, the two signed a document stating that Pyongyang would work toward "complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula".

The White House and State Department did not immediately return requests for comment.

The statement cited US officials who are "going against President Trump" and his intent to advance relations between the two nations, saying that the president has expressed "gratitude to our goodwill measures" implemented as part of the agreement. Trump's national security adviser, John Bolton, also said this week North Korea has not taken the necessary steps to denuclearise.

North Korea's nuclear weapons program has caused global tension for decades and the rhetoric and threats from Kim and Trump had been especially hostile before their June meeting.

A statement from the North Korean government, broadcast via the Korea Central News Agency, accused USA figures of spouting "falsehoods" about the North Korean nuclear issue. The United States cancelled a joint war exercise with South Korea that was due to take place this month while dismissing calls to ease sanctions until the North delivers on its commitments to fully denuclearize.
