EXCLUSIVE: Abby Huntsman Leaving Fox News for The View

Huntsman, who now co-hosts Fox & Friends Weekend, is set to replace Sara Haines, who announced her departure from the long-running ABC show last week to join the third hour of Good Morning America.

Huntsman will host Fox and Friends Weekend for the last time this Saturday and Sunday, spokesperson for the news network told E!

Now, sources close to "The View" tell Page Six that while "a deal isn't done", the show "is very interested in a role for her".

Huntsman, 32, is the daughter of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. The hiring of Huntsman won't come as a huge surprise to any who keep tabs on the latest View news, as rumor had it back in July that Huntsman was in the running to fill Sara Haines' vacancy.

On the very next set of downs, the former Oklahoma QB again scrambled to convert a 4th-and-2. He added 13 yards rushing, including converting on two fourth down plays.

Huntsman joins "The View" after several news outlets have sought to burnish their Republican credentials with Donald Trump in the White House and Republicans ascendant in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

"No negotiation is worth throwing your own people and country under the bus", Huntsman tweeted.

ABC declined to make executives available for comment.

"The View" finished its 2017-18 season on a ratings roll, averaging 2.9 million viewers per day. Current co-hosts include Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain, and Sunny Hostin. Paula Faris left the program to focus more on reporting.
