The only player from the 2018 draft who was still unsigned entering this week has agreed to a deal with the Chicago Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.

Nagy told reporters Sunday he believes Smith missing camp could have a detrimental effect that lasts into the regular season. Last season as a junior Smith was voted first-team All-American, won the Butkus Award as the nation's best linebacker and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Year.

Why was Roquan Smith holding out?

Trump Has A Problem With Time Zones
Yes, that is what happened according to a report by Politico , a US-based portal devoted to covering politics and policy. Sanders further claimed foreign leaders are appreciative of Trump's willingness to "take their calls day and night".

It was not immediately clear how the two sides solved the impasse regarding contract language covering whether the Bears could reclaim Smith's guaranteed money if he were suspended by the NFL for an on-field rules violation outside the parameters of a football play. While it sounds insane the Jaguars would have to verbalize that, players apparently have yet something else to worry about when it comes to their contracts.

The biggest thing Smith missed was time on the practice field, but he's smart enough not to have wasted these last three weeks. They did not say in a release late Monday night that he has signed. Given that Smith's first possible practice will be Tuesday, it's hard to imagine he'll play in Saturday's preseason game. Smith was the Bears' big defensive addition this offseason, the No. 8 overall pick of the draft.

This looks pretty bad on both sides, but the Bears should've never allowed it to take this long to get a deal done.
