Police said they believed they would soon recover the bodies of the daughters, Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4.
Authorities say they have found the body of a pregnant Colorado woman reported missing this week and believe they know where the bodies of her two children are.
- A man with ties to North Carolina has been arrested after reportedly confessing to killing his pregnant wife and two daughters in Frederick, Colorado.
He is charged with three counts of murder in the first degree and three counts of tampering with physical evidence.
Just after midnight Thursday, Frederick police announced that investigators had arrested Watts' husband, Chris, and were awaiting charges.
A close friend told investigators she dropped off Watts at home about 2 a.m. Monday on the way back from a work trip.
Authorities will hold a press conference at 10:30 am with an update on the case.

Neighbors on the Watts' street in the Wyndham Hill development in Frederick earlier Wednesday described the the family as quiet and said they kept to themselves. He said the last time he saw his family was early Monday morning before leaving for work. She has seen Chris Watts pull his daughters along the sidewalk in a wagon while walking their dachshund, but said the family has always been quiet. I call her rampage because she's got two speeds. "I don't know, but if someone has her and they're not safe I'll want them back now".
Frankie Rzucek, who is identified on Shanann Watts' Facebook page as being her brother, posted overnight on his page saying he just wanted to know why.
"The dog makes more noise than them", she said. And if they're not safe right now, that's what's tearing me apart. "I was trying to get home as fast as I can, I was blowing through stop lights, I was blowing through everything just trying to get home as fast as I can because none of this made sense".
The friend, Lauren Arnold, told 9NEWS she learned Wednesday the missing mother - who was 15 weeks pregnant - and the girls were believed to be dead.
