Bumblebee will arrive neatly wrapped in United Kingdom cinemas on Boxing Day this year - and stay tuned to Empire for a trailer breakdown from Travis Knight himself.
Set in 1987 (20 years before Shia LaBeouf wore a Strokes shirt in the first Transformers), Bumblebee is about a teenage girl, played by The Edge of Seventeen's Hailee Steinfeld, who finds a beat-up Volkswagen Beetle in a junkyard.
Bumblebee is just the first step in Paramount's plans to expand the Transformers movie franchise. There are also rumors that a film called Transformers One, which would reveal the origins of the Autobots and Decepticons, is in development, as well as plans for a crossover with GI Joe and other Hasbro properties.

The cause of the illness was Campylobacter , an infectious disease that causes diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. While the six pet stores were not identified by name, they were reportedly primarily located in OH and Florida.
Bumblebee - which also stars Pamela Adlon, and the voices of Angela Bassett, Justin Theroux, and Peter Cullen - opens on December 21.

We see a few Decepticons, a bit of a snarly looking John Cena, and a glimpse of Cybertron - but the film thankfully still looks like it revolves around Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld) and her unexpected friendship with Bee.
It remains to be seen whether the film can successfully balance the more low-key character elements that this prequel-reboot is promising alongside the big robo-smashing action the Transformers films are known for. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
