On Friday, Bolt scored two goals in his first start for the Central Coast Mariners in a trial match that he hopes could pave the way for a professional contract as a soccer player. In celebration, he gave his trademark Lightning Bolt to the crowd.
"Playing my first game as a starter and scoring twice is an incredible feeling", the eight-time Olympic medal victor said.
"I'm happy I could come here and show the world I'm improving", he added.
Meanwhile, the A-League season will start next weekend and Central Coast Mariners are now expected to make big decision on the future of Usain Bolt with them. A first half header was wide of the mark and poor timing continued to plague the eight-time Olympic sprint champion as he battled to keep his football dream alive.
Bolt doubled his tally minutes after the first strike by tapping in from close range following a mixup between a Macarthur defender and the goalkeeper.

Since his underwhelming debut in late August, Bolt has undertaken intensive training sessions in a bid to work on both skills and fitness, yet for the first 45 minutes the improvement looked to be minimal.
His second came 12 minutes later when he showed a striker's instinct and took advantage of a frightful mix-up between defender and goalkeeper to tap in from a couple of yards out.
Bolt said he had a "lot more to learn" and was keen to join the Mariners on a professional contract.
"This will determine. (what) the club want to do with my career, so it's a very important game", Bolt said on Wednesday.
I think my touch is that little bit better; my vision needs to improve a little bit more.
