Reports: Saudi Journalist May Have Recorded His Own Death

A TechCrunch fact-checker report stated: "But even if Khashoggi entered the Saudi consulate wearing that model, a third-generation Apple Watch (which Khashoggi was pictured wearing) does not support cellular connections in Turkey, effectively ruling out any chance that his health data synced either with his iPhone outside or Apple's servers".

Turkish daily Milliyet reported "arguments and shouting" could be heard on the recordings.

Turkish officials say they have tapes implicating the Saudis in Mr. Khashoggi's disappearance.

Mr Cavusoglu has urged the kingdom to allow Turkish officials to enter the consulate.

Omer Celik, a spokesman for Erdogan's ruling Justice and Development Party, said that Khashoggi's disappearance will be "investigated strongly".

"I think we'd be punishing ourselves if we did that", he said.

On Thursday, Trump had said US relations with Saudi Arabia were "excellent" and he was reluctant to scuttle highly lucrative USA weapons deals with Riyadh.

Trump's hesitation to strike back at the kingdom reflects close ties the White House has nurtured with the nation's de facto ruler, the crown prince, and his administration's acquiescence to other Saudi actions that have drawn global condemnation. He added, "We all want information, so let's wait and see what information comes out in the next week ..."

Meanwhile, a Saudi delegation arrived in Turkey for talks, officials said on Friday, with the case risking fragile relations between Ankara and Riyadh.

Khashoggi, a journalist for the Washington Post, disappeared earlier this month after he visited the Saudi consulate in Istanbul for routine paperwork.

Winning numbers for $548 million Mega Millions jackpot
Mega Millions officials say no tickets matched all six numbers to claim the estimated $548 million grand prize. The next drawing is Tuesday, Oct. 16 - and there's a chance the total could inch into a Mega Millions record.

"What has reportedly happened in Turkey around the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, if proved true, would clearly change the ability of any of us in the West to do business with the Saudi government", Branson said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia dismissed allegations that it ordered his killing as "lies".

Saudi Arabia firmly denies any involvement in his disappearance and says Khashoggi left the consulate that afternoon.

"It's looking like he perhaps won't be or isn't around and that's very sad", Trump said of Khashoggi. There's something- you'll be surprised to hear me say that, there's something really bad and disgusting about that if that was the case so we're going to have to see.

President Trump warned the USA would inflict "severe punishment" if Saudi Arabia was behind his disappearance.

Uber Chief Executive Khosrowshahi also said he would bow out of the Future Investment Initiative conference, a three-day affair scheduled to begin October 23 that has dozens of business executives on its agenda as speakers, according to its website.

"His voice and his ideas will reverberate, from Turkey to Saudi Arabia, and across the world". In addition to the Dollars 110 billion arms deal, Trump said the Saudis are going to invest $450 billion in the United States through their companies.

"Well, I'll tell you what I don't want to do", he said.

The Saudis have strenuously denied the allegations, but admit Mr Khashoggi did enter the consulate.
