Westbrook, Beverley get heated again as Thunder roll

Police stepped in to help keep Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley apart from each other

In March 2014, the first time the two played again, Beverley swiped the ball away from Westbrook after a timeout and drew a technical, and Beverley and Westbrook had to be separated.

Westbrook tore his meniscus on the play, but the Thunder went on to win the series 4-2.

The Thunder point guard didn't have much to say after the game, only noting that the team won the game, 128-110, according to ESPN.

Instead of going to his team's bench, Westbrook hung around the Clippers bench to bechance words with Beverley, prompting police to step onto the court to keep the peace.

Beverley made contact with Westbrook's knee midway through the fourth quarter after the OKC point man collected a loose ball, diving late in efforts to retrieve it, but making contact well after Westbrook had picked up the ball.

Beverley felt like he did nothing wrong, and said his reputation plays a role in the calls he gets.

"I feel like I went for a loose ball, " he said.
