Several Injured In Shooting At Bar In Southern California Says Police

Mass shooting at California country and western bar

Several injured in shooting at a bar in southern California in U.S., police said.

Ventura County Sheriff's Office Captain Garo Kuredjian said it is "still an active scene".

Initial reports indicated that a man had opened fire with a semi-automatic gun at about 11.20pm.

"He shot a lot, at least 30 times". I look up - the security guard is dead.

Witnesses tell ABC News that a man fired several shots from a handgun before tossing smoke bombs and starting to fire again.

The attack has been upgraded to a level 2 mass casualty incident indicating that there are between 10 to 20 injured victims.

There were reports of more gunfire as officers responded.

Dez Bryant's patience pays off with flawless landing spot
We have yet to mention Alvin Kamara , Mark Ingram or the league's best offensive line, which now resides in New Orleans. Bryant's eight year career in Dallas had its fair share of drama, but also some really good production as well.

The gunman was still believed to be inside the bar an hour later, according to a police official.

He told reporters: "When our deputies arrive on the scene they attempted to neutralise that threat, I can't tell you if it was neutralised or not".

They said that soon after the gunman opened fire, victims were running to a nearby petrol station to get help.

It has not yet been revealed the extent of the injuries.

"The gunman was throwing smoke grenades all over the place", a different witness told KABC.

The venue's website says for a quarter of a century it "has stood as the Ventura County's largest country dance hall and live music venue".
