The issues manifest with some iPhone X displays from 2017 that may become unresponsive to touch mostly due to a component failure. Apple has initiated replacement programs for both the 13-inch MacBook Pro (without Touch Bar) and the iPhone X, which was recently discontinued.

According to Apple, there are two ways in which you can determine: first, "the display, or part of the display, does not respond or responds intermittently to touch". Either way, it's undoubtedly a frustrating usability issue, especially for a device that was priced in excess of $999. The iPhone X was launched previous year and reports of display issues cropped up a few months ago, but Apple did not respond at the time.

In a surprising revelation, Apple has admitted that there are certain issues with the display of its iPhone X. The iPhone X which was the belle of the ball for the Cupertino-based tech giant in 2017 has some "touch issues". What's more, Apple writes that repairs may be limited to the original country of purchase, though we can't imagine this will be an issue for most owners.

The screen reacts even when a user hasn't touched it. Apple has not confirmed how many devices are impacted by this problem. On the other hand, Longbow says that Apple is increasing orders for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and some other older models.

The company said affected laptops could be serviced at one of its retail locations or an Apple Authorised Service Provider for free as well.

Apple will also service these SSDS free of charge.

As far as the 13-inch MacBook Pro is concerned, Apple said that the problems are related to the storage drives, and may lead to data loss. Your iPhone will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program. The company will also email customers who have registered their devices with Apple to inform them about the program. The support page for this issue lets you enter your device's serial number to check if you're eligible for the fix program.
