Authorities are investigating a reported bomb threat at CNN's New York office

CNN's NY offices were evacuated Thursday night after a bomb threat, but no explosive was found and police later gave the all clear, the network said. "NYPD is investigating. Stay tuned".

Police conducted a "comprehensive sweep-and-search" of the Time Warner building at 25 Columbus Circle, after receiving a threat made to a building housing CNN's offices in Manhattan.

CNN anchor Don Lemon tweeted that CNN's floor in the Time Warner Center was evacuated in the middle of his nightly live show.

According to the official New York Police Department's Twitter account, the bomb threat was called in at 10:07 p.m. ET.

It didn't take long for some people to link the bomb threat to US President Donald Trump and his war of words with mainstream media.

Brian Stelter, a reporter for the network, said on Twitter that the offices were evacuated and that CNN went into taped programming.

Police gave the all clear shortly before midnight Eastern time (5am United Kingdom time) after dozens of police officers searched the building floor by floor.

"The Fake News hates me saying that they are the Enemy of the People only because they know it's TRUE", he tweeted in August.

In October, the building was evacuated after a package with an explosive device addressed to former CIA Director John Brennan was found.

Reacting to the threat, CNN's Chris Cuomo said that everyone was "fine" despite the evacuation.
