Far Cry Embraces a New Dawn in February 2019

'Far Cry New Dawn' turns Hope County into a nuclear wasteland next year

Far Cry: New Dawn blasts into the post-apocalypse in February

While it's obviously based in Far Cry 5's setting of Hope County (and god, has that Jared Leto dickhead again?), Ubisoft say it will explore further afield on certain missions, visiting places "including wetlands, canyons, and coastal regions". This has now been confirmed by Ubisoft at The Game Awards. That's nuclear catastrophe for you... but it doesn't make things easier to swallow.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that all-out war would draw a fiery line under the nefarious activities of Joseph Seed and his followers but, actually, it's just the beginning. The Homebase is also a launchpad to Expeditions, where for the first time in Far Cry, the adventure is more than local.

With a nuke triggered at the end of Far Cry 5, unsurprisingly, Hope County and the rest of the world isn't exactly in the best of shape.

Tony McLeod, British High Commission Wellington consular manager, said the commission was aware of the missing person report. She maintained regular contact with her family and friends, but vanished from a "party hostel" the day before her birthday.

The name is, fittingly, New Dawn, and the art follows the same pattern as previous franchise titles.

What's New in "New Dawn"? There is also Nana, an elderly lady who is a stealthy sniper, described as a sharp shooter with a sharp tongue. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Considering that we've seen Far Cry 4 in November 2014, Far Cry Primal in February 2016, and Far Cry 5 in March 2018. You'll be pleased to hear the Fangs for Hire will return as well.

Far Cry games are like buses of late, albeit ones that zoom off a cliff in a ball of fire: two have come along at once, or at least in quick succession.
