Obsidian announces The Outer Worlds, a true open-ended sci-fi RPG

The Outer Worlds by Obsidian Entertainment announced for PS4 Xbox One and PC

The Makers Of FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS Are Taking Us To THE OUTER WORLDS

A first-person shooter in a terrible universe that has seen capitalism run amok and infect numerous other planets, The Outer Worlds mixes the harsh materialism of society with a somewhat amusing look at the future. In the years since, it's been rumored that Obsidian might release a New Vegas follow-up (New Orleans has been a frequently-rumored location for that apparently non-existent game), but despite all that rumormongering, nothing's happened.

The Outer Worlds certainly looks like it follows Obsidian's storytelling linage, presenting what appears to be a story-driven open-world RPG set in a world with a retro-futuristic approach to space travel. "It affects everything in the game - the setting, the characters, the dialogs".

The Outer Worlds is the latest sci-fi adventure from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division, with the first trailer dropped during the 2018 Game Awards on Thursday.

Everything is debatable , what we have to do is give our best to be available and give our best when playing. This wasn't the only decision he has made since taking over with the aim of protecting his squad.

However, work would've begun on The Outer Worlds years before the buyout so it seems the deal with Take-Two has stuck and the game will remain multiformat. It's now slated to come to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The first reveal of The Outer Worlds paints a picture that might make fans of Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas happy.

Geoff Keighley and Obsidian teased the game's announcement last week with the tagline, "Worlds Will Change".
