Stranger Things creators, the Duffer Brothers, appeared onstage at The Game Awards fifth annual event to announce the world premiere trailer for the upcoming Stranger Things 3: The Game from Netflix and BonusXP.
On Thursday night at the 2018 Game Awards, the Duffer brothers surprised everyone by announcing the release of Stranger Things: The Game. Before season 2, they collaborated on a Stranger Things mobile game that had a nice Legend of Zelda feel to it. The charming 16-bit format and simple gameplay (shoot and/or hack Demadogs and random butch guards!) is a flawless nostalgic tie-in for the '80s-set Netflix series. Check out the trailer for the game below. (No word on PlayStation 4 - at least not yet.) There's no details on how this will work, but more than likely, we'll see players take control of characters within this particular universe, solving puzzles and possibly taking on enemies, depending on who's involved. Stranger Things 3: The Game should arrive sometime in 2019.
Obsidian announces The Outer Worlds, a true open-ended sci-fi RPG
The first reveal of The Outer Worlds paints a picture that might make fans of Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas happy. Geoff Keighley and Obsidian teased the game's announcement last week with the tagline, "Worlds Will Change".
The Game will release on consoles and PC next year.
The trailer didn't come with a release date for the game, and there were no announcements about the release date for Stranger Things' third season.
