The recall is limited to the product that was manufactured between Oct. 7, 2016 and Oct. 16, 2018 and distributed between Oct. 17, 2016 and Oct. 23, 2018.
American corporation Kimberly-Clark recalled specific shipments of U by Kotex Sleek Tampons with regular absorbency on Tuesday.
In some cases, some users had to seek medical attention to remove some parts of the tampon pieces left in the body.
Kimberly-Clark has issued a voluntary recall of certain tampon products.
There are even reports of infections, vaginal irritation and localized vaginal injury.

Anyone with symptoms from using one of the impacted products should seek medical attention, the company says. They were distributed between October 17, 2016, and October 23, 2018, and sold by retailers across the USA and Canada.
Retailers have been told to remove the recalled lot numbers from their shelves and post a notification in their stores, but people planning on buying the brand should check it first.
Customers can identify whether they are affected by the recall by looking at the lot numbers on the bottom of the tampon packaging.
Consumers can also check if their product is being recalled by entering the lot code number here.
Consumers who have the recalled tampons should stop using them immediately and should contact the company's consumer service team between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1-888-255-3499.
