Nintendo rule out an official Bowsette

Nintendo rules out the possibility of an official Bowsette, but she's real all the same

Random: Nintendo Confirms Only Toadette Can Wear The Super Crown, Bowsette Officially Debunked

Apparently, Nintendo themselves who have "no comment" on Bowsette when interviewed by Japanese website J-Cast News, invented her long before the Internet did.

For those who somehow managed to miss the fad, Bowsette and her numerous counterparts stemmed from the game's new item, the Super Crown, a power-up that could transform any who donned it into a version of Princess Peach.

First discovered by a user on a ResetEra forum, the message displays on the official New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch and that she will not, at least for now, become canon. U Deluxe, a repackaging of the Wii U launch title with all bonus "Year of Luigi" content included, as well as some new features...like a playable Toadette.

U.S. Airstrike Kills Al Qaeda Terrorist Involved in USS Cole Bombing
The results of the New Year's day attack are still being assessed, including whether Jamal Al-badawi was killed. A terrorist behind the attack on the USS Cole has been killed in an airstrike, Donald Trump has confirmed.

The Super Crown description specifies that the item is exclusive to Toadette, making Bowsette unofficial. The possibilities really would be endless.

The Bowsette meme surfaced quickly after the announcement of the Super Crown item for the re-release of New Super Mario Bros. The Super Crown spread ever further, reaching into fan cosplays and My Little Pony transformations. Well, Nintendo aren't about to be that company, as they have seemingly ruled out any kind of official introduction of the fan-created phenomenon Bowsette. She wasn't just a flash in the pan, either - we'd go on to see Bowsette modded into Breath of the Wild, custom fighters modeled in her honor for Soul Calibur 6, and the inevitable, hastily produced Bowsette porn parody, among many more tributes.
