Chelsea news: Michy Batshuayi has loan spell terminated by Valencia

Mateu Alemany, the general director at Los Che, has confirmed the striker's imminent departure after Marcelino had lost patience with the 25-year-old loanee.

Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi is set to return to Stamford Bridge this month after Valencia made a decision to cut his loan short.

Alemany said on marca.com: "Batshuayi's situation is very clear. We are negotiating the player's exit with various other clubs", Alemany noted.

The centre-forward scored the goal that clinched Chelsea the 2016/17 Premier League and deserves a lifeline.

"We are expecting an exit in the few hours or days".

"The player knows he is leaving, we told him some weeks ago".

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Michy Batshuayi is now set for Chelsea return after being slammed by Valencia coach Marcelino Toral over poor performances. "He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation", he stressed.

Valencia were knocked out of the Copa del Rey, losing 2-1 to Sporting Gijon on Tuesday, and Batshuayi, who is on a season-long loan at the club, was substituted at half-time.

According to the Mirror, Everton, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Marseille have all expressed an interest in signing the Blues striker, with £14million the quoted price to sign him on a permanent basis.

Everton have been crying out for a prolific frontman with Cenk Tosun falling out of favour under Marco Silva, and Oumar Niasse deemed not good enough.

Due to the inabilities of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud to find the back of the net regularly this season, he should be given opportunities up front for the club during the second half of the season.
