Jayme's school district held a "Gathering of Hope" for their missing student at a local high school on 22 October, while a funeral for the Closs parents was held on 27 October.

News that Jayme had been found alive ended an all-out search that gripped the country. James Kuffel, the township's lone constable, said he knows nearly everyone in the area but has never encountered the Pattersons.

Everyone is so proud of you, Jayme!

Jake Thomas Patterson, 21, is being held on two counts of first-degree homicide and one count of kidnapping.

James and Denise Closs were found shot dead on October 15 in the family's home.

"I don't understand it yet myself", Fitzgerald said.

"Jayme is the hero in this case, there's no question about it", he said. They took Closs to safety and told Kristin and her kids to get away from any windows in case the suspected abductor came to their home.

Months later, Jayme reappeared in the sparsely-populated town of Gordon, about 70 miles (113km) north of her hometown.

"The suspect had specific intentions to kidnap Jayme and went to great lengths to prepare to take her", the sheriff said, such as shaving his head to avoid leaving traces of identifying evidence behind.

Erik once lived in the same rural cabin in Gordon, Wisconsin where Jayme was held captive. I don't know where I am!

The sheriff said that he did not know if Jayme had been physically abused but that she was hospitalized overnight for observation and released.

A shotgun believed to have been used by Patterson to shoot open the door to the Closs' home has been recovered by officers.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said Jayme was expected to be reunited with her remaining family.

But the sheriff said it did not appear Patterson interacted with the couple. It is about a one-hour, 50-minute drive from Minneapolis, and is about 50 minutes from Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Deputies agree historic name change for Macedonia
The Macedonian parliament has amended the constitution to rename the country as the Republic of Northern Macedonia. A spokesperson for the governing Social Democrats said the ethnic Albanian lawmakers also agreed to back the deal.

Police believe Patterson - said to have hidden the girl in the home he grew up in - killed the Wisconsin couple because he wanted to abduct their daughter.

"It appears he concealed her from other people. his friends", Fitzgerald said. She was cleared to leave the hospital and has been talking to investigators.

He may have worked at another business in Barron but that hasn't been confirmed, the sheriff said.

Mr Patterson was interviewed by Douglas County officials and then transported to the Barron County jail.

While authorities are still trying to determine the motive behind the kidnapping, more details about Patterson have emerged.

Kristin Kasinskas, who helped report Jayme's emergence to police Thursday, spoke to CNN on Friday about what happened.

Michelle Knight, the woman who was a prisoner in a Cleveland home for more than a decade, had "tears of joy" after learning of Jayme Closs' safe recovery.

When Peter Kasinskas answered the pounding at his front door on Thursday, the first words he heard were, "This is Jayme Closs" and "Call 911".

Nutter said she didn't want to bring Jayme to her nearby home because it was too close to where she'd been found, and she didn't want them to be alone.

The woman took her to a neighbor's house where they called police. "As far as I'm concerned she saved herself".

"She looked. kind of in rough shape". "Coming from my experience, I'm sure she was scared and panicking but happy she got away".

Jayme provided a description of Patterson's vehicle.

Anyone with information about Bond may call the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office at 615-898-7720.

"She said she was lost, she didn´t know where she was", Nutter told AFP.
