Man charged for kidnapping teenager and killing parents

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said investigators are trying to figure out what happened to Jayme during her captivity.

After the news that 13-year-old Jayme Closs was found safe in Wisconsin after missing for almost three months, there are many emotions being felt by the families of other missing persons.

Closs was found almost 70 miles from the home where her parents were brutally murdered.

The update from authorities came a day after they announced that Closs, 13, was found alive following a almost three-month disappearance.

They found Patterson in his auto, "driving around", apparently out looking for her, Fitzgerald said.

Jayme Closs' suspected kidnapper had no prior criminal record, however, detectives are now looking into his brother who was convicted of sexually assaulting a minor.

"Everybody has been praying for her and I think no matter where you go it's always a little chatter", said Jim Helman, who works at Tru Value.

She had escaped on foot from a remote cabin where she had been held against her will after her parent's murder.

"She is going to have to grieve the loss of her parents and also come to terms with the fact she was abducted, escaped and whatever (other) hell she went through", said Beers.

Someone blasted open the door of James and Denise Closs' home near Barron with a shotgun in October, gunned the couple down and made off with their 13-year-old daughter, Jayme Closs.

According to a neighbor, Patterson's parents moved away but the two sons continued to use the home.

Concert hosted by R. Kelly banned due to sexual misconduct allegations
Kannie Yu LaPack, a spokeswoman for Lifetime , said: "The women's stories speak for themselves". Kelly intentionally gave her a sexually transmitted disease, according to Dallas News .

Patterson took measures to avoid leaving evidence at the scene, including shaving his head beforehand, and a shotgun was recovered from the home where Jayme was believed held, Fitzgerald said. So we're determining, did he even let her go outside?

The houses and cabins are very spread out in the area that is about 10 minutes from downtown Gordon.

Fitzgerald said he was not yet aware of any plans for a community gathering to welcome Jayme home.

In a statement, attorneys Charles Glynn and Richard Jones said they awaited Jake Thomas Patterson's initial court appearance and the filing of charges against him on Monday.

Straub also said Jayme's case brings up the issue of victim privacy.

Patterson was in the county jail Friday and is keeping quiet after talking on the day of his arrest. "She said she did not know him".

The two went to the home of Peter and Kristin Kasinskas, who called 911. They say she was "the only target".

Patterson's high school teachers barely remember the now 21-year-old man who graduated only three years ago, and say they didn't realize he still lived in the area. I can't wait to get my arms around her.

When deputies arrested him, he was out looking for Jayme, Fitzgerald said.

Jayme's aunt, Jen Smith, said on Saturday on ABC's Good Morning America that when she heard that her niece had been found alive, "I just cried lots of happy tears". So now, "she needs to control and experience her memories in a way that. doesn't retrigger" her trauma.

She was released from the hospital Friday and was reunited with her aunt in Barron, Wisconsin, and her dog, Molly.
