Kangana Ranaut to Karni Sena over Manikarnika protest

Manikarnika is a biopic on the life of one of the most celebrated female Indian warrior, Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai which is played by Kangana. On Thursday, Karni Sena protested against the film's release since they have a problem witn Rani Laxmibai's relationship with a British Officer.

President Ram Nath Kovind watched Kangana Ranuat's forthcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi at a special screening, which was organised at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Friday, where the cast of the film was also felicitated. "I will destroy you", the actress told Karni Sena in an open statement.

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in the film Simran which was released on September 15, 2017. "Manikarnika will face the same outcome", he said.

National Award-winning lyricist and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairman Prasoon Joshi has penned the songs for 'Manikarnika: "The Queen of Jhansi" which captures the life story of Rani Laxmibai.

Zee Studio's spokesperson denied the allegations and said that no such affair is shown in the film. Like any other historical, Manikarnika too has apparently hurt the sentiments of few individuals and they, Karni Sena, are reportedly getting to harass the actress who is the complete creative authority over the film. The film, which Ranaut has co-directed with Krish, is set to be released on January 25.

The actress says if they don't stop harassing her, she will "destroy them". Kangana is now occupied in the post-production work of the film.
