Kohli led from the front in the recently concluded ODI series against Australia, notching up 153 runs in three innings at an average of 51.00, including a superb hundred in a run chase at Adelaide. They have recalled all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme, wicket-keeper batsman Tom Latham and spinner Mitchell Santner to their squad with the first two being rested for the Sri Lanka series and Santner comes back into the fold after nearly a year out with a knee injury.
The first of five ODIs will be staged in Napier from January 23 while Wellington will host the first T20I from February 6.
