"As it turned out when we finally got to the point where we thought maybe it could work, she felt it was too late for her to pull something together for sure", Ehrlich said. Despite having kept her iTunes fans waiting longer than her Spotify followers, the pop star's newest album took just five minutes to hit the top of the iTunes US chart.

In the clip, which she's been teasing for the last 24 hours, Grande faces off against her double at the club and at a party, and her double is dating Riverdale's Charles Melton.

Ehrlich told The Associated Press that Grande isn't performing at the Grammys and that the Recording Academy wanted her to perform after having "conversations over the past month or so".

"It was when my creativity and self expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend", she added. She's not expected to attend the ceremony, though she tweeted that she is "still grateful for the acknowledgement this year". She was also scheduled to perform at the Grammys on Sunday night, where she's nominated for two awards, but reports say she pulled out yesterday over disagreements with producers over what song she would perform. Ariana has previously explained that the track is about "feeling badly for the person you're with bc you love somebody else. feeling badly bc he can tell he can't compare. and how i should be ghosting him".

The ceremony takes place this Sunday night, February 10.
