"So sorry to hear the news about Jeff Bozo being taken down by a competitor whose reporting, ' the President sarcastically tweeted purposefully misspelling Bezos" name.

In a now-trending tweet, Trump sarcastically referred to the richest man alive as "Jeff Bozo", seemingly alluding to a fictional clown character, which was popular in the USA in 1960s.

Trump took to Twitter to take a swipe at billionaire nemesis Jeff Bezos after the National Enquirer, run by one-time Trump ally, David Pecker published its bombshell report of Bezos' split with his wife.

Bezos, who owns The Washington Post, and his wife, MacKenzie Bezos, announced in a statement Wednesday that they had made a decision to divorce after 25 years of marriage. Shortly before the news broke, the Amazon founder announced that he was splitting up with his wife after 25 years of marriage.

U.S. President Donald Trump coined a new nickname for Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos on Sunday, calling him "Jeff Bozo" in a tweet that praised a story in the National Enquirer and disparaged the Washington Post. "Hopefully the paper will soon be placed in better and more responsible hands!"

In a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court granted February 7 a temporary stay blocking the law while it is adjudicated in lower courts. In that case, Chief Justice Roberts was in the minority; he would have upheld the Texas provision.

The president has also previously tweeted claims that Amazon benefits from billions of dollars in subsidies from the US Postal Service while paying "little or no taxes to state and local governments".

Cohen and Pecker have each admitted to the scheme to have AMI pay $150,000 to Playboy model Karen McDougal who was shopping a story about an affair with Trump before the 2016 election.

Trump wished Bezos "luck" on this divorce on Thursday, adding "It's going to be a beauty".

Trump has also always been critical towards Bezos, who bought the Washington Post a publication the President has attacked for its agenda against his administration in 2013. The news website Axios reported in March that Trump was "obsessed" with taking down Amazon.
