In other words, you won't have to worry about hoarding episodes on your device, especially if you don't have enough storage for that.

A handy Netflix feature announced last summer has come to iOS at long last: the app can automatically download episodes of your favorite shows.

Netflix have just launched Smart Downloads for iOS.

But it's worth noting that the smart download will only work if you're connected to Wi-Fi (saving your mobile data). It automatically downloads the next episode of a show you have been watching offline, the next time you are on Wi-Fi.

New Zealand beat India by four runs in third T20, take series
India played the same XI in the first two games and in all likelihood, will maintain continuity unless there are some niggles. New Zealand have posed more of a threat in the latter part of India's tour, and have been a force in the shortest format.

Say you download three episodes of a series, for instance. If you'd rather keep watched episodes on your device and manually manage your downloaded content, visit the Downloads tab in the Netflix app and toggle Smart Downloads off. Obviously, if you happen to download each scene of a series on the double, the application won't delete or supplant any of them once viewed. With new updates like the Smart Download app allowing viewers to stay tuned in with their favorite shows wherever, whenever, it's exciting to think about the possibilities where the industry is headed. To do this, select the Menu icon and then "App Settings".

This update comes after the feature was first rolled out to Netflix for Android in July previous year.

The feature itself can be turned on and off as a user sees fit, so it's not always on by default.

Netflix has recently been focusing heavily on offline access to its app to further expand its user base as the USA market saturates.
