Toyota has whipped the covers off a new RAV4 TRD Off-Road model at the Chicago Auto Show in the United States, giving its fresh-faced, fifth-generation SUV an updated suspension set-up, new wheels and bespoke tyres "engineered specifically for trail driving".
The Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road arrives in American showrooms during the third quarter of 2019. The extreme off-road of the Tacoma also receives a new 10-way power driver's seat and the eight-inch touchscreen.
Power comes from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder Dynamic Force engine making 151kW of power. Hill start assist, trailer sway control, and downhill assist are standard. A TRD-tuned Fox internal bypass shock suspension is the main tool needed for the task, providing the auto with 7 compression zones and 2 rebound zones, as well as an increase in rebound travel of 18 mm. The crossover received a new shock absorbers, reinforced springs and bump stops. Some, however, are just for the premiere TRD Pro trim - but we fully expect to see these and other small changes make it to all the other trims eventually.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Geralt of Rivia arrives in Monster Hunter
Completing the Woodland Spirit contract will reward players with resources needed to craft Ciri's armor and weapon set. The Monster Hunter World Witcher crossover event that was announced in December 2019 begins today, February 7.
Though the 2020 Tacoma largely carries over from last year's model aside from the tech upgrade and styling updates, Toyota addressed a number of common complaints. As for the Tacoma Limited, it features standard LED DRL and LED headlamps, chrome taillamp inserts, 18-inch alloys, the upgraded Smart Key operation on the passenger door, and the Panoramic View Monitor (PVM). Running boards in cast aluminum and a roof rack are also on the table. Seat surfaces are covered in "SofTex", a material Toyota says is "lighter than leather yet highly durable", while the front pews have "TRD" lettering stitched onto the headrests. Head restraints and all-weather floor mats decorated with TRD branding.
