Bill Cosby's Prison Experience in a Word? 'Amazing'

After being sentenced to three to 10 years in prison for sexual assault, Bill Cosby's spokesman says the comedian believes prison to be an "amazing experience".

"Despite the circumstances, he said this is an awesome experience", Wyatt told NBC 10 Philadelphia in a series of interviews published this week.

In an interview with WCAU in Philadelphia, Andrew Wyatt described how the disgraced television star was dealing with his time behind bars, having been found guilty of sexual assault in April 2018.

Camille Cosby has not yet visited her husband in prison, sparking rumors that a divorce is imminent.

"Right now I'm his only visitor outside of his attorneys, and that's the way he wants it", Wyatt said.

Cosby is now serving a three- to 10-year sentence at the State Correctional Institute Phoenix in Collegeville after a jury found him guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for a 2004 incident in which Andrea Constand alleged that she was drugged and sexually molested by Cosby at his Pennsylvania home.

His wife Camille has not visited him so far.

Cosby is now behind bars at Pennsylvania prison, after being found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, in 2004. He also adheres to a strict diet; avoiding carbs and sugar.

The normally gregarious Cosby, nevertheless keeps to himself in prison, but the charismatic man remains popular among the other prisoners.

When questioned over Cosby's actual words, Wyatt reiterated, "Yeah". He is forgoing bread and desert, and "hasn't drank any coffee since he's been in there", Wyatt explained.

Bill Cosby is escorted into the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on September 25, 2018.

In comments to CNN last week, Wyatt disputed the "gen pop" characterization: "He does not eat in the area with other residents, he does not have a cellmate, and he does not exercise with other residents". Cosby must be in his cell and accounted for seven times a day while at the prison. Comedian Bill Cosby arrives at the Montgomery County Courthouse on June 13, 2017, in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
