Apple confirms March 25th ‘It’s show time’ event with media invites

The event will take place at 10 am PT at the company's Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, Calif.

News that Apple would host a March event to discuss its latest services broke last month via a BuzzFeed report, but on Monday, Apple confirmed the date and location of the event by sending out invites to the press.

Details are scarce, but it is expected that Apple is going to announce its launch into a new streaming TV service where subscribers could view content through an iOS TV application. The invite includes a video that shows the Apple logo below the spotlight with a caption "Its show time".

The Raptors are vying for an Eastern Conference win this season, as their team is second in the East now , with a 48-20 record. G Patrick McCaw made his first start with the team Sunday at Miami with Leonard sidelined, scoring 10 points in 26 minutes.

Rumours about the company's new video-streaming services have been around for quite some time. The report also mentioned Apple is in talks with various celebrities for attending the event celebrities like Jennifer Anniston, Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon and director JJ Abrams.

Apple is aiming to resell TV channels subscriptions similar to Amazon, whose Prime Video Service resells Starz and other channels and keeps a cut of the sales. Apple has poured plenty of money and focus into developing its AR chops for iPhone and iPad and encouraging developers to build new AR applications for its devices. Apple is focusing more on its Services business with this event so it is unlikely that we will see the company make any hardware announcements on stage.
