A third-round pick out of LSU by the Arizona Cardinals in 2013, Mathieu was a first-team All-Pro selection and Pro Bowl participant in 2015. Per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, Mathieu was offered a multi-year extension worth more than $9.5 million annually. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Mathieu is expected to sign a three-year, $42 million contract.
