Apple schedules an event for March 25 at Steve Jobs Theater

'It's show time': Apple confirms launch event on March 25

Apple confirms 'It's show time' event on 25 March, to likely launch a TV subscription service

Apple invited media on Monday to an event on March 25 at the Steve Jobs Theater on its campus in Cupertino, California, where a television and video service is expected to launch.

Apple acquired the digital magazine app Texture past year, which enables you to read a huge number of publications for a single monthly fee, a bit like a music streaming service.

The event, which will begin at 10 a.m. PST, features the tagline "It's Show Time", and suggests that the event will focus on services rather than hardware, such as the rumored Apple News service and a streaming TV service.

'The Champions League is Cristiano's playground': Fans react to Ronaldo's hat-trick
Juventus enters the game trailing 2-0 and probably needs Ronaldo to continue terrorizing Atletico Madrid in order to advance. The Spaniards had survived an early scare when Giorgio Chiellini's goal was disallowed after a VAR review.

In the end, we'll have to see how any new product unfolds and, if the services do come along, what partners will be touted as star contributors to the bundles. Wall Street, meanwhile, believes services will become a more important component of Apple's business. That deal helped the firm launch Apple Music, so we shouldn't completely rule out a similar transaction for its video streamer. It would be competing directly with the widely popular services like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. The report also mentioned Apple is in talks with various celebrities for attending the event celebrities like Jennifer Anniston, Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon and director JJ Abrams.

The launch later this month could also touch on Apple's rumoured subscription news service, what's been heralded as the "Netflix for news".

First, you can expect an "Apple News Magazines" service derived from the company's acquisition of Texture. Apple has also refreshed its lineup previously during its events held in spring.
