Gmail Is Having A Massive Outage In Australia Right Now

Many users in Australia, the US, Europe and Asia reported outages with Gmail, Google Maps and Google Drive, The Guardian reported.

Gmail and Google Drive appeared to be down for numerous users worldwide on Tuesday evening. The issue was apparently affecting users of workplace G-Suite accounts as well as Google account holders, though the reason for the outbreak remained unclear and come users could still access Google Drive.

Google acknowledged the issue at 1.53pm and reported "error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior".

In an update on G Suite Status Dashboard, Google noted at 11:43am IST that that both Gmail and Google Drive services have been completely restored.

On Twitter, many voiced their frustration at being unable to check and send emails.

Google hasn't released an official statement yet but is responding to individual users on social media.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support".

As of 1pm, the issues were still continuing for some users. Drive: "Upload and download of files", it said.

According to a message posted on Google's GSuite Status Dashboard, Gmail is reportedly experiencing a "service disruption". However, Google has not confirmed this issue. By midnight ET, users in countries all around the world discovered themselves having non-working Gmail accounts. "Major issues everywhere", another user tweeted.
