What’s behind James Dolan’s comments on ‘game-changer’ summer for Knicks and more from staggering interview

Dolan, during a radio appearance Tuesday on ESPN Radio, expressed a very high level of confidence that NY will be successful in National Basketball Association free agency this summer.

"For the record, I am not selling the team and I am not quitting", Dolan said.

James Dolan has become notorious as the owner of the Knicks due to the team's lack of success with him at the helm. "From players, from representatives, it's about who wants to come", Dolan said.

Dolan also addressed rumors that he was considering selling the team.

The Knicks are 13-54 and next face the Pacers on Tuesday night.

Kevin Knox, Mitchell Robinson, Allonzo Trier and Dennis Smith Jr. have played hefty minutes for the Knicks, but that could change if Dolan gets his way in the offseason.

Ewan Murray expects March to make big difference to The Players Championship
If I would have gotten my rounds in last week, it would have been four tournaments, so I'm right there where I need to be. I think you have a few more misses around the greens because you can chip out of the rough and the greens are softer.

"We're not quitting. We're not selling", he said.

"I do understand for the fans it's about winning and losing and we haven't been doing much winning". We have video which shows them moving from one side of the arena to the other and pointing at me, where I was walking, to set this ambush up and they did.

Dolan said Tuesday he had originally planned on inviting the fan back and letting him meet the team in an effort to show him that the franchise was headed in a positive direction.

"Then, as soon as they were done with it, it was immediately sold to TMZ", Dolan said. He said it becomes the taunting problem when people become "confrontational". "They were stalking me".

Dolan stopped and walked toward the fan, telling him the comment was rude.

He's impeded the New York Daily News' access at times because he doesn't like their coverage. "But look, not for nothing, but I shouldn't have taken the bait".
